1. What’s your name and where are you from?

My name is Sasha. I’m originally from Bronx, New York.

2. How long have you been natural? Why did you decide to begin your natural hair journey? And did you Big Chop or Transition?

I have “officially” been natural for eight years now. I guess you could say I first started my natural hair journey in the summer of 2009, but by the time 2010 came around that soft new growth was getting thick, I ended up getting a relaxer and a bald spot. I started transitioning again that summer. That bald spot was the reason I started going natural.

 

3. Who is your hair crush/hair inspiration?

My current hair crushes are Hazel Goddess and Naptural85. I love watching their YouTube channels for everyday hair needs.

 

4. What is your go-to hair style? 

Twist-outs are definitely my go-to style.

 

5. What is the one product that you cannot live without? Why?

Kinky Curly Knot Today. It truly gives me the best slip when I’m detangling.

 

6. What advice would you give to a Curlfriend who has just begun her natural hair journey?

Do not run back to the creamy crack.
